Time Is Running Out[056]
Written Walkthrough #017

  • brief description: A single construct of many cubes in all directions. Small level, but, oh! Look at the time! You only have 35 seconds to complete it, and no hourglass is in sight!
  • hint: The timeless fields are there for a reason. So is the start (pause) button.
  • solution: Do the following really quickly, or, if you need rest, make sure you only rest on the timeless fields: Turn 180°. Roll onto the end. Turn left. Roll along the path till you're one field before the inactive exit. Turn left. Jump. Get the key, avoid the lethargy pill at all costs. Turn around 180°, follow the path till to the t-junction, turn left, roll to the end, turn right, and roll to the exit field.

  • Blue Sirens[057]
    Written Walkthrough #018

  • brief description: ...
  • hint: Ignore the blue gems. There is literally no way to get to them that does not spell certain death.
  • solution: [The following does not include the fruit] Turn 180°. Roll to the end, and onto the end. Roll forward 3 fields, turn left, jump. Move forward one, jump. Move forward, turn left, jump onto the ice. Let it carry you across it's entirety (watch out for the lethargy pill!) till you see the non-ice Cube before you that you jumped off of. Jump onto that. Repeat the process for the other two sections, then, instead of scurrying to the exit... (Note: fruit not included in this, but the concept is the same, really, just at a different angle, and it requires much more patience and time to get back to the point where you started at) ...move to the end of the non-ice row of Cubes that is pointing to your beloved tire enemies; then jump from it's side onto the structure, and roll over to the emergency (Void!) exit.

    level 57 void
    description: Many (blueish-transparent) single Cubes.
solution: There's little you can do wrong here if you're careful about your jumps, so I won't guide you through it.

  • Eight And A Half[058]
    Written Walkthrough #019

  • brief description: Eight and a half pillars made of Cubes are around you. They switch between top-end bounce pads and bottom-end bounce pads - relatively from your starting point.
  • hint: Keep track of where you came from and where you are going. If you feel lost, don't try to get the jackpot, try to find your way instead.
  • solution: This one is in essence pretty simple. You really just need to make sure you're rolling on the side of the pillar that is facing away from your destination pillar if you're on your way to a bounce pad. If you do decide to go for the jackpot (center pillar), under no circumstances use it's bounce pad - in all directions, you will be flung against the other pillars, and fall into infinity. Instead, roll your way to just before the pad and jump onto the side of the pillar you want to land on. All pillars that you can reach this way have their bounce pads at the bottom (relative from your starting position), which means that the moment you hit the pillars, you should continue rolling in the same direction till to the end. It'll be the bounce-pad less one and you can reorientate yourself that way.

  • Hell Frozen Over[059]
    Written Walkthrough #020

Okay, this has got to be one of the most sadistic levels in the game, one of the most horribly horrifying ones, and I have to do it without a walkthrough. I hope you appreciate that you have one. This is sadistic also because it's one level short of a save point.
  • brief description: Much the same concept of "Time Is Running Out", just that you're lulled into thinking all is okay because you can't actually see the time running out till you're already saying "Oops, that's not the way to get the key". Frankly, there are a lot of ice fields at the ends of this construction. The only where there is none is near the exit field.
  • hint: Never stop moving. Don't think, just do.
  • solution: [The following does not include the fruit] Turn 180°. Roll to the end where the exit field is, and onto the end. The turn right. Roll to where you have the option of continuing the path or going left. Go left, pick up the key, and now keep following the path till you have all keys (takes quite a while). You should be left with 45 seconds once you reach the end of the exit again. If you want to go for the other things in this level (I don't recommend it) now is the time. They are easier to reach than the keys. Just keep in mind you can no longer roll in the direction of the exit without automatically finishing the level from the Cube-end at it's end of the level, so you're going to have to take a different angled approach.

  • Ice Maze[060]
    Written Walkthrough #021

  • brief description: A mostly two dimensional puzzle set up, trickily strung with ice fields galore.
  • hint: Focus on the keys.
  • solution: [The following does not include the fruit] Turn left, move forward, pick up the coins, stop before the lethargy pill. Turn right, roll to the blue coin. Turn right, and jump twice (make sure you get your timing right). Turn left, and move forward & jump onto the ice-free field. Turn left and roll to the key. Turn 180°, roll back, turn right, jump onto the ice and roll one field to an ice-free field (where you just came from). Turn left, jump, pick up the coins to your right. Turn right before the next ice field, roll forward. Roll till two field before the lethargy pill. Turn right. Jump and jump again. Turn right and roll up to the only construct that is not on the otherwise twodimensional gamefield, turn right again, roll forward and wait till you come to a stop back where you started. Turn right, roll down and backtrace to the lethargy pill (roll over one ice-free field, come to stop by the second, turn left, jump twice). Turn left. Move forward till just before another lethargy pill. Turn right and roll to the end. Jump and jump. Well Done!
